A ‘HIDDEN GEM’ in Pershore is in for some ‘egg-citing’ celebrations this Easter as it celebrates its 40th birthday.

Abbey Butchers and Delicatessen, owned by the Tallis family, can be found at No 10 High Street and prides itself on supporting the local community, providing and producing quality local produce

Abbey Butchers is the spiritual home of the famous Pershore pork pie and Pershore plum sausage, all made at the shop to celebrate the Pershore Plum Festival. The asparagus sausage and pork pie is also a big hit with customers.

Managing director Ken Tallis said: “Supporting Pershore and its local area has always been imperative to me and to our business.

“We never cease to be humbled how much our customers, from far and wide, continue to value and support us and for that we are truly grateful.

Celebrations next Saturday (April 16) will include a free raffle for a £100 meat voucher, a brass band and many more surprises.
