CARING staff at the Evesham Hotel are taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in order to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The popular fund-raiser is being held next Friday (September 25) from 10.30am to midday and is open to all hotel guests and Evesham town residents.
All guests attending will be able to indulge in the hotel’s famous coffees including its steaming lattes and homemade cakes, whilst raising funds for a extremely good cause.
The charity is close to General Manager David Field’s heart and he said: “In recent years, Macmillan has provided an amazing level of support for my family when we were facing an extremely challenging time.
“In hosting a coffee morning here at The Evesham Hotel, I hope we can raise as much money as possible to aid the charity in its aspirational work, whilst enjoying coffee and cake together.”
Last year the charity received an impressive £25,102,796 as a result of coffee morning contributions, which has enabled it to continue supporting cancer patients across the UK.
The coffee morning is the second charitable event David has coordinated for Macmillan this year, after he and his sister, Jeanette raised an impressive £800 in hiking the Chilterns at the of July.
