A SPECIAL memorial event for owners grieving the loss of their much-loved dogs who have passed away is being held in Evesham.
Dogs Trust Evesham invites people who have sadly suffered the loss of a dog to visit The Rainbow Bridge Cafe at 10.30am on Wednesday, April 23.
The cafe will offer a welcoming and supportive space to honour canine companions.
The event will begin with a guided tour of the Dogs Trust Evesham facilities, and refreshments will be provided afterwards. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos and memories to celebrate the joy of beloved dogs.
Callum Stackhouse, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Evesham, said, ‘‘Around half of those who have lost a dog experience barriers in opening up about their feelings following the death.
“The Rainbow Bridge Café has been set up to offer a supportive and comforting place to share memories and celebrate the lasting impact of dogs who have passed away.
“It’s important to talk and connect with others who understand the bond between people and their dogs.”
Dogs Trust Evesham has asked members of the public not to bring four-legged friends to this event for the comfort of its rescue dogs.
