MEMBERS of Pershore Brass presented town Mayor Coun Chris Parsons with a cheque for more than £1,000 to further boost his fund-raising for his charity, Prostate Cancer Support.
Coun Parsons said he was extremely grateful to the band for their hard work over the Christmas period and to all those who gave to generously to this charity.
Pershore Brass played Christmas music at Severn Valley Railway and various other local venues at which donations were given by those who heard them.
“Charity fund raising is hard work but when a local group provides help and support such as Pershore Brass have done it makes it so much more worthwhile,” he said.
