WITNESSES are being asked to come forward after a business was burgled on the High Street.

The incident happened at about 11.20pm on Sunday (November 8) when the alarm was activated and police attended the scene.

When officers arrived they found raiders had forced entry to the premises and a search of the cupboards had taken place.

During the burglary the night safe had also been attacked; however, it had not been opened.

It is thought that two men were seen running from the scene and getting into an unknown vehicle. They made off in the direction of Brick Kiln Street.

The offenders did not take anything from the bank and the premises was empty at the time of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or may have further information should call the police on 101.

Alternatively information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
