High Sheriff of Worcestershire visits Wallace House Community Centre

THE HIGH Sheriff of Worcestershire Charles Moyle JP has visited Wallace House Community Centre which offers a diverse programme of activities for all ages.

Mr Moyle was accompanied by Evesham’s Town Mayor Coun Robert Raphael for the fact-finding mission where they were able to meet the staff and learn more about the work at the centre.

Wallace House, in the heart of Evesham, provides the opportunity for people to take part in a range of pursuits, from sports and leisure to educational and support classes, which give the community the chance to develop new skills.

The venue has also become an important meeting location for a number of local volunteer organisations.

Wallace House is ably managed by Sian Purton, and her deputy Sarah Green who are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers.

Sarah said: “We were honoured to welcome the High Sheriff and Mayor and it was great that they made time to come down and see what we do here.”

The venue has craft fairs coming up on September 28 and November 16. They take place from 10.30am to 2.30pm on both days. Crafters are being urged to email [email protected] to find out more.

There is also a Halloween Fun Day on October 26 and a Christmas one on December 7, offering free presents for children and a Santa’s grotto.
