HIGH-FLYING cadets from 233 Pershore Squadron, part of the Air Training Corps, have been awarded their wings.

Officer Commanding Flt Lt Rebecca Pritchett handed the honours to Rueben Evans, Ethan Heesom, Issac Grimwade-Jones and Adam Turton at their squadron headquarters.

The cadets recently completed their aviation training course at RAF Cosford which consisted of time in a simulator and taking control of the RAF Grob Tutor which currently is the Royal Air Force’s elementary trainer which all new pilots use.

Flt Lt Pritchett said “I’m incredibly proud of my four cadets who are not only the first on the squadron to gain these wings but are the first in West Mercian Wing.”

Anyone aged from 12 to 18-years-old who wants to find out more about the air cadets can e-mail [email protected] or visit www.233aircadets.org for more information.
