Helping to keep Pride going

PERSHORE’s popular Pride loyalty card scheme has been spared the axe after a local company dug deep to sponsor it for a further year.

Town businesses owners had feared the Pride scheme would have to be wound up because of a lack of funding after the Pershore Market Town Partnership was dissolved.

But following a rallying call to town businesses, Hughes and Company Printers on the High Street stepped forward to provide the cash injection needed.

The company, which offers the design and printing of stationary, greetings cards, books, banners and brochures, are keen supporters of Pride.

Owner Alan Hughes said: “Pride is an excellent scheme and has been very good for Pershore.

“The town is very fortunate to have Pride, to encourage custom. When I heard its future was uncertain, I offered my support and am pleased it has been accepted.
