WANNABES from across Wychavon can go along to auditions being held across the district in the next few days for this year’s W Factor talent contest.
The first will be held at the Civic Centre in Pershore from 5.30pm on Tuesday (January 20) with another at Evesham Arts Centre from 6pm on Thursday (January 22).
Young people aged between 11 and 18 will be able to showcase their skills in a number of categories, including visual art, short film, music, singing, dance, drama, and circus skills.
A winner will be chosen from each category and the prestigious final will be held at the Number 8 Community Arts Centre in Pershore at 7.30pm on March 9.
The successful acts will receive further training and get to perform at future Wychavon events.
Jenny Davis, Wychavon’s Arts Development Officer, said: “I’m looking forward once again to seeing what talented young people come forward for the W Factor.
“There are always some surprises and interesting acts that bring an edge to the final show.
“It’s always satisfying to see the young people grow in confidence from when we see them at the audition stage, right through
to the final show and the events in the summer.”
