AN ACTION-PACKED calendar of family fun events has been launched at Evesham’s Hampton Ferry.
The fun kicks-off this Easter at the annual Bank Holiday ‘Family Fun Day’ on Monday, March 28 and this year will be in aid of Wallace House Community Centre.
Soon after is The Blossom Trail Bike-away, where around two hundred cyclists will set off from Hampton Ferry in a sponsored cycle ride through the Vale of Evesham on Sunday, April 10.
The popular event will be in aid of St John Ambulance and The Vale of Evesham Community First Responders.
The Hampton Ferry May Fayre will be held on Monday, May 2, bringing together fund-raising stalls, a car boot sale and sideshows in aid of Evesham charity Olivia’s Dream.
The ferry’s sixth annual ‘Car and Bike’ Show roars into town on Sunday, June 26 and promises to be a great family day out for motor enthusiasts. Anyone with a veteran, vintage, classic, kit car, military vehicle or motorbike are welcome.
Hampton Ferry will also be a host venue for the new Evesham Festival of Words from Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3, where play-reading and a quiz night will take place.
The family favourite Hampton Ferry Show is being held on Sunday, August 7 and will incorporate ‘The Wallace House Games’.
There is also a new addition to the calendar of events this year with The Evesham Scarecrow Festival and Competition being held on Sunday, September 18, where groups and individuals can compete for the title ‘King of the Crows’ by making the best scarecrow.
The ever popular Christmas Fayre and lights switch-on is being held on Thursday, December 1 – rounding off another busy year of highly entertaining attractions and events at the town’s natural beauty spot.
