Hair it pink

A KIND-HEARTED Evesham trichologist promoted breast cancer awareness by dying her hair bright pink in aid of Breast Cancer Now.

To mark the charity’s ‘Wear It Pink’ day last Friday (October 23), Sally-Ann Tarver of Cotswold Trichology took the plunge to transform her normal golden locks to something striking.

The cause is close to her heart as Sally-Ann has worked as a wig fitter for many breast cancer patients.

It was her work which inspired her to take more extreme measures by volunteering to dye her hair pink for donations.

“I felt I needed to do more than just wear a pink T-Shirt to work on Wear it Pink day” she said.

“In jest someone suggested I dye my hair pink. Trichologists are not well known for dying their hair bright colours, in fact most Trichologists would normally advise against it as it.

“We had the evening at my clinic with family and friends laughing at my expense throughout the whole process.

“It was worth it as I have currently raised around £550 for BCN and think I may be able to push it up a little further yet before I hand my cheque in.

“Breast cancer is a devastating disease which affects one in eight women, so I am proud to have done something to help raise money for one of the UK’s biggest breast cancer charities,” she added.
