A POPULAR Evesham gym will play host to a top national fitness competition this weekend.
And staff at Phoenix Fitness Solutions at Unit 2 on St Richards Road hope fitness fanatics from across Evesham will pay a visit to watch the competition and find out more about the event.
The popular national event will be held at the gym tomorrow (Saturday) in partnership with the national X-Training organisation.
Competitors from around the country enter the competition which is held six times a year at venues around the UK.
Entrants in the novice, intermediate and advance categories then tackle a timed course of 10 exercises in a bid to complete
them in the fastest time possible.
Although some of the fittest people around the country enter, the idea of the event is mainly mass participation, to get as many people as possible giving it a go and completing the challenge.
Gym manager Jason Harvey, said: “The competition is a great social event and creates a brilliant atmosphere for everyone involved and those watching.
“X-Training is up and coming and it would be great to get people who don’t know much about the sport to come and take a
look and see what its all about.” he added.
