CARING staff at an Evesham fresh produce firm will be going green for mental health as part of a packed day of events.
Primafuit on Enterprise Way will be raising money on Monday (October 10) to mark World Mental Health Day.
An array of green will be on show for the day which will see all of the proceeds donated to the town’s Evesham and District Mental Health Support Services (EDMHSS)
Staff will wear green and green ribbons will be on show and on sale throughout while a yoga session and raffle will hopefully help pile on the pounds.
In addition to raising cash, staff also hope to raise awareness of EDMHSS and the importance of talking about mental health in general.
Edward Connett from Primafruit said: “We hope the day will show the importance of reaching out to a service like EDMHSS if needed.
“Obviously, along with the money raised, the overarching aim of the day would be to give as much exposure to this charity and what support is available to people who need it,
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recognises World Mental Health Day on October 10 every year.
The theme for this year, which is set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is ‘make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority’.
EDMHSS is an independent charity, established in 1973 as an agency of National Mind.
Originally known as Evesham and Pershore Mind it became Evesham and District Mental Health Support Services in 2012.
