Christmas is a time for family, friends, and generosity, and a moment to reflect on the year gone by, on achievements, experiences, and moments of joy.
For many, however, it can also be a difficult time, remembering those we have lost, facing the financial pressures of the season, or feeling overwhelmed or isolated.
I am grateful that the communities I represent prove, all year round, that no one is ever truly alone. We are fortunate to have a wealth of individuals, groups, and organisations who work tirelessly to uplift our community.
Every act of kindness helps form the unique foundation of the place we call home.
From neighbours who check in, to the churches, pubs, farm shops, and organisations that host festivals, clubs, and activities throughout the year.
Thank you to you all.
As we draw 2025 to a close, we look ahead to 2026 with optimism. There is much to be proud of, and much still to do.
For me, that means continuing to raise the bar, tackling our challenges head-on, and kicking this Riverside Shopping Centre up the backside and levelling up our town.
Merry Christmas, and a very happy New Year.
