Going flat out to help you save time

AN EVESHAM mum is hoping to help local residents who are pressed for time with a new ironing business.

Sarah Floyd, together with her mother-in-law Auriol Clements, set up Cotswold Ironing Services just over a year ago.

Both Sarah and Auriol initially ran the business alongside their full-time jobs but committed to their idea when Sarah discovered she was pregnant.

Wanting to work alongside their family commitments, Sarah and Auriol invested in a purpose built premises in Beckford.

And as Sarah’s belly grew, the business also bloomed and the duo celebrated the safe arrival of baby Maisy with an open day

for potential customers.

Despite the threat of bad weather, the event saw a good turn out of family and friends as well as people interested in taking the steam out of the time-consuming household chore.

Baby Maisy was in attendance as was Sarah’s older daughter Louise who cut the ribbon with her mum and grandmother Auriol.

While their base is in Beckford, Cotswold Ironing Services deliver between Evesham and Cheltenham.

“When I discovered I was pregnant with Maisy, it made sense to really go for it as it would work around the family.

“We now have a small premises in Beckford to accommodate our new business and are hoping to continue growing and welcome any new customers.

“Being self-employed is important to me as it works around the children.” he added.
