STAFF at an Evesham business are celebrating after they raised more than £1,200 for the Royal British Legion

The Crafter’s Companion store collected the money from its sales of poppies.

The craft retailer sold all of its 130 sparkly button poppies, which were created by its staff, in addition to some knitted creations from the Royal British Legion.

The store also organised a class to create a poppy-decorated canvas, which added £120 to the total.

In the previous two, Crafter’s Companion Evesham collected more in than £2,000 for the Royal British Legion.

Rachel Williams, manager at Crafter’s Companion Evesham, said: “The Royal British Legion is a charity which is steeped in history and the Poppy Appeal continues to raise much-needed funds for veterans and their families.

“We are always amazed at the support we receive from our customers and this year was no exception. The response from people and the generosity of those who bought something is amazing.

“I am so thrilled that we have been able to smash our fundraising target and hope that we can do even better next year.”
