AS THE SCHOOL holidays draw to a close, youngsters at Evesham Adventure Playground cooked up a storm thanks to Tesco.
The Worcester Road store’s Community Champion Lindsay Roach has devoted her time on family playdays at the popular town venue to help children learn more about fruit and veg.
Each week, youngsters have tasted fresh fruit and veg along with making fruit kebabs, monsters and animals.
The undoubted highlight came in the final week of fun as youngsters rolled up their sleeves to make chocolate apples on sticks coveted in sprinkles and mini marshmallows.
“We’re always happy to support children with fresh fruit and veg as they are missing out on free fruit at school during the summer holidays,” Lindsay said.
“It’s been a wonderful to share some of their holidays and good luck to them all for their return to school.”
