Get on your bike and explore Evesham's active art

Evesham Editorial 19th Jun, 2022   0

A CHANCE to ‘get on your bike’ and view 27 new pieces of art in and around Evesham is on offer for locals and visitors alike.

Vale Active Art is a project conceived by Cycle Evesham Vale to raise both funds for Evesham Adventure Playground Association and the spirits of people out and about, and to encourage ‘active travel’ around the Vale.

Local schools, charities, groups and artists have volunteered to decorate bikes which were destined for scrap, and they’ve now been installed for public viewing across the area.

“We’ve been delighted, not just by the level of response, but also by the skill and imagination that’s gone into decorating these bikes,” said Robin Walker of Cycle Evesham Vale.

The bikes will be auctioned at the end of August to raise money for Evesham Adventure Playground Association.
