Get laced up for the Plodders 10k

A RALLYING call for Plum Plodders to lace up their running shoes and hit the streets of Pershore for this years annual 10k has been gone out from organisers.

More than 400 runners are expected to hit the ground running on Sunday, August 25 for the ever-popular event which race chiefs cliam will be bigger and better than ever before.

Setting out from Pershore Leisure Centre on King George’s Way, runners will face a chip timed, multi-terrain 10k course which heads into Pershore High Street, over the river and into the countryside and fields surrounding Wick.

Plodders will then face the return journey back into Pershore town finishing in the Abbey Park with the backdrop of the impressive Pershore Abbey.




Each finishing runner will be presented with a medal, 2019 bespoke technical finisher’s t-shirt, a plum and a goodie bag.

Aspiring entrants must be 18-years-old and above on the day of the race and entry for this year’s event is by registration only.


Entries will close at midnight on Thursday, August 22 or as soon as the maximum number of runners is reached. If the race limit is reached, a waiting list will be created. Once on the waiting list, there is no guarantee that a place will be available.
