Fuel thief causes £6,000 damage to cars

ABOUT £6,000 worth of damage was caused to vehicles in Evesham when a thief attempted to steal fuel.

The offender targeted eight cars on Wednesday (May 27) at about 12.40am on Four Pools Industrial Estate.

They used force to remove the fuel caps and drilled into the tanks causing between £5,000 and £6,000 worth of damage.

All the vehicles were advertised for sale and did not contain much fuel for safety reasons.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to contact them on the non emergency 101 number.
