A PERSHORE businessman served up a treat with a donation to the town’s carnival committee which raised £300 for next month’s event.
Harry Christodoulou, of Newlands Fish Bar, is a keen supporter of the carnival and wanted to do something to help raise some funds.
The businessman generously donated an Easter Egg hamper and a fish supper and sold raffle tickets to his customers. The draw was made on Good Friday and the two winners were notified immediately.
Carnival chairman Colin Shepherd said: “It is such a help when local businesses want to get involved and support our fund-raising efforts so we can put on a good show for the people of Pershore and our visitors. We are very grateful to Harry and his family for their support”.
