Fright night

WITCHES, zombies, ghosts and fairies alike will descend on Evesham Adventure Playground tonight (Friday) as its hosts a spooky night.

The charity will be holding its own Halloween night between 6.30pm and 8pm where there will be some treats and tricks in store for youngsters.

Activities include hair-raising ghost stories under the cloak of darkness around the fire, being face to face with creepy critters like scorpions and tarantulas, and the chance to knock on creepy doors all the children will get a goody bag to take home.

Kath Jones, chair of the playground, said: “Halloween can be a scary time for children and adults but we want to make it a safe and fun time for both.

“Reports have shown that many adults fear the ‘knock on the door’, and children and young people are more likely to be ‘knocked over’ crossing roads on Halloween night.

“We hope more children will be here than out on the streets.”
