RESIDENTS of Evesham and surrounding villages are being invited to attend a free community health and wellbeing fair next Thursday, June 26.

Taking place at the leisure centre, the Evesham Living Well Event will run from 10am until 3pm and bring together a wide range of local services and organisations dedicated to helping individuals and families live healthier, happier lives.

Attendees will have the opportunity to try some taster sessions and seek advice, support, and information from a variety of wellbeing and health experts.

This includes staff from the Worcestershire Health Van, who will provide free NHS Health Checks, for blood fats and heart disease.

The event is being led by the Vale of Evesham Primary Care Network (PCN), in partnership with Worcester-based advocacy charity Onside and Wychavon District Council and will also have representatives from  Prostate Cancer Support, Evesham Volunteer Centre, Caring Hands in the Vale and Healthy Worcestershire Pensioners Association.

The aim is to help people stay well for longer by ensuring access to support and services that promote health and prevent illness.

Dr Neill Bramble, clinical director of the Vale of Evesham Primary Care Network, said: “The annual Living Well Event continues to showcase the wide range of outstanding local organisations working alongside the Vale of Evesham GP practices to promote a healthier lifestyle and improve overall well being.

“The event is the perfect opportunity to find out more about all that is on offer locally to support you, your friends and your family.”

Residents can visit the health van without an appointment and do not need to be registered with a GP or have to provide proof of identity to access the service.

Sarah Mackay, head of adult wellbeing services at Onside, said: “We can’t wait to welcome visitors to the fourth Living Well Event and bring an even wider range of organisations together this year following the tremendous successes in 2023 and 2024.

“The aim is to provide a friendly environment for the community to meet and access information.

“We would also like to invite organisations who offer health and wellbeing support, both locally and nationally, community and volunteering groups, and charities to take a space with us – it is a great networking opportunity.”

Hayley Corbett, Wychavon health and wellbeing officer, added: “Whether you’re looking for health advice, community support, or ways to get involved locally, the Evesham Living Well Event will offer invaluable support and advice to everyone in the community.”
