FREE mince pies are going out to most of the traders and shop staff in central Pershore, a gift from the local churches.
A team from Churches Together in Pershore which will tour the town on Monday and Tuesday with seasonal greetings and a special request.
Jacqui John from the Baptist Church, said: “We want to give them, as part of our local community, some thanks for all their help and service over the year”
“We are not asking for a single penny but offering to remember people in prayer if that is what they would like,” said Christine Dodd from Holy Redeemer Catholic Church
Next January sees a special Week of Prayer for Christian Unity organised by the Abbey, Baptist Church, Holy Redeemer and Community Church.
The Rev Claire Lording said: “We’re inviting business owners and staff to write down prayer requests, either for themselves or for the business. The prayers we gather now will be presented at the January united service .”
