The Valley, formerly Evesham Country Park, will play host to the StreetVelodrome series on May 23 and 24 and offer participants of all ages an exciting opportunity to try track style cycling right in the heart of their local community.
All equipment necessary will be provided free of charge and pro riders will be on hand to offer coaching and guidance.
“It’s a great opportunity to bring the benefits of cycling and the excitement of track cycling to the people of Evesham” Says StreetVelodrome Series Director Carl Thompson.
“The banking takes just a few minutes to learn and with our professional riders on hand those taking part will gain a lot of cycling confidence in just a short while. Participants can also enjoy an Olympic style pursuit race against a friend or relative. It really is great fun.”
Maria Hughes, Centre Manager said: “We are delighted to welcome such a unique activity to Evesham Country Park.
“We are passionate about the great outdoors and hope that the local community come down and get involved in a fun free event.”

The professional rider confirmed for the event will be the 2014 StreetVelodrome Series Pro Rider Champion Dave Johnson.
With bikes, helmets and padding provided to cater for any age or size there are simply no barriers to taking part.
The event is being held to help encourage more people, especially women and children, to be active and to try cycle sport.
