WORCESTER county and city councillor Alan Amos has been elected County Council vice chairman for the new civic year.
His appointment comes alongside new chair Coun Kyle Daisley who becomes the youngest figurehead the County Council has ever had.
Coun Daisley has been a county councillor, representing the Bromsgrove South division since 2019 and becomes the youngest Chairman the County Council has ever had.
He takes over the role from Coun Chris Rogers, who was elected chairman in May last year.
In his time as a County Councillor, Kyle has been chairman of the Children and Families Panel, and also began leading the Scrutiny task group looking into Children’s Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
Coun Daisley, said: “I am honoured to have been elected the chairman of Worcestershire County Council.
“It is a great privilege to be the youngest chairman the County Council has ever had. I will be focusing on bringing communities together, support for improving mental health and ensuring young people have a voice in shaping Worcestershire’s future.”
