A CRITICALLY acclaimed folk band are heading to a Bretforton pub to share the sounds of Scotland and beyond.
Winning ‘Folk Band of the Year’ and ‘Album of Year’ at the 2016 Scots Trad Music Awards, contemporary-folk group Breabach embark on their major 2017 tour with a performance at The Fleece Inn on Thursday, February 9.
Since launching their career as winners of the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections in 2005, the band have steadily become one of the UK’s most dynamic and exciting folk groups.
Including the talents of Calum MacCrimmon, Ewan Robertson, James Mackenzie, Megan Henderson and James Lindsay, Breabach’s increasingly mature sound has propelled them to international recognition.
Produced and released by renowned musician Greg Lawson in March 2016, Breabach’s fifth studio album ‘Astar’ offers an exciting multicultural celebration, embracing the diverse influences the band have picked up during their travels to Quebec, Norway, Australia and South Korea.
The event starts at 8pm and costs £12.
