FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog from a house fire in Evesham on Saturday afternoon.
Two crews, one from Evesham and the other from Pershore, rushed to Common Road at about 3.33pm.
The house was ‘well alight’ when crews arrived and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the blaze.
Fire crews then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to help remove the smoke from the house.
Everyone inside the house was accounted for. Firefighters also rescued a dog from the burning building.
One paramedic officer from West Midlands Ambulance Service did also attend the scene, but no one required treatment.
