FIREFIGHTERS tackled lorry fire on the A44, near Lower Moor last Saturday evening after 15 tonnes of tarmac it was carrying caught fire.
Crews from Evesham and Worcester were called at 8.24pm on July 19, to extinguish the blaze near to the Wyre Piddle junction which Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFR) said had initially started in the vehicle’s brakes.
Both sections of the road were closed as crews dealt with the incident which was also attended by police.
There were no casualties.
