Police appeal launched after abandoned car set on fire in ditch

POLICE are appealing for information after a car was left abandoned in a ditch and set on fire in Evesham.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Badsey Road at about 8.10pm yesterday evening (Thursday).

The blaze was put out by fire crews from their Evesham station using one hose wheel and two breathing apparatus.

Anyone who has any information on the incident or noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the blaze is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting reference numberĀ 709S of Thursday, February 2.
