FIREFIGHTERS from Evesham and Pershore were on hand to rescue a sheep from the River Avon at Eckington.
Crews from Pershore’s animal rescue team joined forces with the Evesham water rescue team for the incident at 2.29pm on Wednesday (October 19)
The sheep was rescued from the river and reunited with its flock.
Evesham’s water rescue team were action earlier in the day to rescue a poorly swan from Ipsley Pool in Redditch.
The animal was left in care of Wychavon Swan Rescue.
