CUPCAKES and fish and chips were on the menu as a decade of growing and packing the sweetest berries in Evesham was marked by a Salford Priors firm.
Angus Soft Fruits are an international employer established in 1994 with 220 employees, over half of which are based at the Salford Priors site employed in the operations department where the berries are quality controlled, packed and distributed to retailers across the UK
Since opening the Salford Priors site in 2011, Angus Soft Fruits have packed more than 470 million punnets of berries – more than 116,000 tonnes of fruit.
Three colleagues who started at the site when it first opened Evesham premises were honoured as Ramune Sikarskiene, Rastislav Pacaj and David Buxcey were presented with a gift of hotel vouchers by managing director John Gray and operations manager Steve Tinsley.
The Salford Priors colleague of the year certificate and award was presented to Emil Sabotinov, line leader at the Evesham site.
“It’s important we celebrate the milestone of our tenth anniversary at our Salford Priors site,” Mr Gray said.
“I would like to thank all of the team for their hard work and dedication to ensure we deliver great tasting berries that will delight our customers each and every day”
