A SPOOKILY fun Evesham Halloween event raised more than £300 to help fund playground equipment in a popular town garden.
The Friends of Jubilee Gardens hosted a spectacularly scary fancy dress party for youngsters on Saturday (October 24), at The Bengeworth Club on Coronation Street.
The family fun event raised £360 which will go towards funding park equipment for the gardens, with one item being a wooden crocodile for young children to enjoy.
Organiser Sue Norledge said: “It was a brilliant afternoon with lots of children in fancy dress.
“There was plenty for everyone to enjoy including a craft and cake stall, a kids and adults tombola, a lucky dip and a chocolate fountain which the children could dip their apples in.
“We gave away sweets and £5 vouchers to our three winners which included a pumpkin, Dracula and a scary princess.”
