THE HEARTBROKEN family of a man who died after the vehicle he was travelling in and a HGV collided on B4084 on the Cropthorne to Wick bound carriageway have paid tribute to him.

Luke Ruff, 37, from Evesham was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday, December 7.

In a statement, his family said: “We are devastated to announce the loss of Luke in a tragic road accident.”

“Luke was an outstanding multi-talented young man, he was intelligent, thoughtful and loving even though he had his own problems to deal with.”

“He was son to Michael and Patricia, partner to Jo, father to Ellese and Ashton and brother to Jessica and Kain.”

“He worked hard as an experienced builder and followed his father’s passion for motorbikes – he competed regularly in motocross trials.”

“He loved his music and going to festivals, as well as reading and watching documentaries – he always had a fact about any topic – he knew something about everything!

“We will remember Luke as a hard-working, strong and a hopeful young man and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

“We would like to offer thanks to the emergency services and to the people who helped Luke and comforted him until he passed away. Luke will be in our hearts forever.”

Police are continuing to investigate the collision – anyone with dashcam footage or any information that could help police with their enquiries can call 101 quoting incident 604s of 7 December 2018.

A service will be held for Luke at the Vale Crematorium at midday on Saturday, December 29.
