AN ASPIRING Evesham author has self-published the first of three books in a trilogy of stories he was first inspired to write as a teenager.
Matthew Coles, a father of one, has published ‘Tales from the Woodywood Wood: Juniper Bracken and The Clock of Velgar’ volume one which begins the story of 12-year-old Juniper Bracken.
From the age of 19-years-old the Evesham author has been determined to one day publish one of his stories and this year his dream came true.
Matthew paid for the first book in his trilogy to be published by a publishing platform company based in South Carolina, USA. The book is now available to buy on Amazon and at the Hampton Farm Shop.
‘Tales from the Woodywood Wood: Juniper Bracken and The Clock of Velgar’ volume one is set in the magical village of Crumplewood where 12-year-old Juniper Bracken lives.

The adventure sees Juniper delve deep into the Woodywood Wood where he meets pirates, giants, elves and talking animals on his way to confront a mad wizard.
