Evesham's Courtyard Hair in the running for 2022 Salon Awards

AN Evesham hair salon has been nominated for a national award.

The Courtyard Hair Salon located at Blackminster Park just outside Evesham is in contention for the ‘Best New or Refurbished Salon of the Year’ award at the 2022 Salon Awards.

Evesham-based salon owner Kirsty Cameron has been delighting customers with stylish and fashionable cuts for more than 27 years, originally taking the plunge and taking over an established salon on Bridge Street in Evesham in 2013.

The Courtyard Hair Salon was originally scheduled to open in November 2020 before a second national lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic torpedoed the plans.

The salon was eventually opened for three weeks before being plunged in to the third and final national lockdown.

More than twice the size of the original salon on Bridge Street, the Courtyard is gaining a reputation for its commitment to the environment.

The salon is a member of the Green Salon Collective and uses Kevin Murphy products which are manufactured using ocean waste plastic or are available in fully biodegradable packaging.

“Since moving to our modern salon at Blackminster Park, we haven’t looked back,” Kirsty said.

“We have new clients joining us every single week and with our out-of-town location which has free parking, our new salon is more convenient for our customers than travelling in to town.

“After the difficult time we faced with lockdowns stopping our original opening plans, our nomination for a 2022 Salon Award is well deserved acknowledgment of the hard work of our entire salon team,” she added.
