A FESTIVE trail inspired by Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker will launch in Evesham town centre on Saturday, November 23.
Twenty giant nutcracker dolls, each themed on an aspect of Evesham’s rich cultural and historical influences, are set to provide a fun activity for families in the run-up to Christmas and into the new year.
The project is a collaboration between Evesham Place Board and The Valley retail park to support town centre retail trade in the run-up to Christmas.
Sixteen unique designs will be on show in shop windows around the town and four will be up at The Valley.
Watch out for an asparagus-themed nutcracker, one depicting Simon de Montfort, and a model marking the 50th anniversary of Wychavon District Council.

Phil Maclean, retail director at The Valley said: “ We hope that all the retailers and shop owners feel that they are supported at this time of year as it is such a critical trading period and that families come out, enjoy it and have a great time.”
