THE re-launch of Evesham’s Charter Market has been postponed due to the bad weather.
The refreshed town centre market was to be officially opened today, but operators, LSD Promotions, have moved the launch to next Tuesday as a result of today’s heavy rain and strong winds.
A soft launch though will take place this Saturday. The official launch will then take place at 11am next Tuesday.
As the Observer previously reported, Evesham Town Council recently teamed up with LSD Promotions to breath new life into the popular Charter Market.
The Town Council has bought new pop-up gazebo stalls to bring a refreshed look to the town centre market. The stalls will be in the town’s colours of yellow and blue and will be in place for both the Tuesday and Saturday markets.
A spokesperson for LSD Promotions said: “The relaunch of Evesham Street Market has been reluctantly cancelled today due to forecasted high wind speeds.
“The market will be open next Saturday with the new stalls in place and the official opening will now take place next Tuesday (June 13) at 11am.”
