CARING members of the Vale of Evesham Round Table have reflected on a busy year which has seen them once again give generously to local good causes.

The ever popular Santa Sleigh runs delighted many local Vale youngsters and saw members out for 23 nights from the end of November and through December as well as a couple of extra static displays both at The Valley and in Pershore.

And thanks the generosity of Vale folk, a stunning £11,493 was raised for local charities and good causes, the biggest total raised by the Round Table to date.

A Round Table spokesman said: “Every penny has or will be donate to local charities and good causes right here in the Vale of Evesham.

“We got together with our partner organisations, the good folk who accompany us out on one of the Sleigh runs to help with the collections, on January 19 to distribute the cheques,” he added.

Full details of all the organisations and charites who received donations can be found either at evesham.roundtable.co.uk or www.facebook.com/evesham295

Members also ran a car in the Monte Carlo or Bust Banger Rally back in July and raised a healthy £5,116 in sponsorship which was donated to Olivia’s Trust.

“A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us, every penny you donated went to Olivia,” he added.
