Evesham personal trainer completes mountain challenge to raise thousands for brave Lewis

A KIND-hearted Evesham man tackled a 23-mile challenge on one of the UK’s highest mountains to raise thousands of pounds for a town boy in need of a life changing operation.

Personal trainer Ben Goss took part in the grueling Man Vs Mountain adventure race earlier this month which sees entrants undertake the 23 mile run up and over Snowdonia in North Wales.

Ben has raised a staggering £5,279.55 for brave Lewis who has cerebal palsy. Ben’s efforts have helped Lewis’ family almost reach their £80,000 target which will help pay for Lewis to have the surgery and physiotherapy needed to dramatically improve his life.

Speaking to the Observer, Ben said: “I entered the race at the end of last year and knew it was a great way to help raise sponsorship for Lewis.

“The race was going to push me to my mental and physical limits so having the motivation of raising the money for Lewis and his family gave me the motivation needed to get through the training and the race.

“I was a complete stranger when first meeting Lewis and his family, but I will have a memory and year I will never forget.”
