ASPIRING singers are being urged to find their voice and become part of a Worcestershire concert in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

Men United in Song will give 40-plus local men the opportunity to build up to a live show in May.

Working over ten weeks towards a performance at Worcester’s Swan Theatre, vocalists will learn to sing and help raise money for the much-loved cause.

No previous singing experience is necessary, just a willingness to step outside your comfort zone say organisers.

Last year’s project was an overwhelmingly positive experience for the men who took part.

One of the volunteers George said:

“I’ve always loved singing and I’m always humming or singing under my breath.

“I had seen Men United in Song advertised and finally mustered the courage to take the leap and apply.

“My experience was one I will never forget. I thank the team for seeing potential in me and having me along for the ride.

“From the songs we sang, to the people I sang them with, it was a good time from start to finish.

“I would absolutely encourage anyone interested to give this fantastic opportunity a chance.”

Sign up sessions will be held on February 26 and February 28 from 7pm to 10pm. Rehearsals will subsequently take place on Monday evenings from March 4.

The Men United in Song 2024 charity event supporting Prostate Cancer UK will be held on May 18.
