AN EVESHAM man had more than one reason to celebrate after finding out he had won a £15,000 cash prize on his 39th birthday.

Alexandru Anechitei was at work when he received a surprise call from online competition specialist BOTB who told him he was a Daily Draws Competition winner.

He tried to hold back his tears when speaking to BOTB presenter Christian Williams.

He said:

“The money will help me a lot, it’s almost half of my yearly salary!”

“I was already having a nice birthday, but when I received the call and found out I had won it felt amazing.

“I have had so many nice messages from friends and family.”

Alexandru, who is a team leader for a transport company, said he plans to use the money to pay off some debts and go on holiday.

He said:

“I work so hard so I would love a holiday and I’m thinking about going away with some friends in the summer. My dream is to go somewhere in the Caribbean like the Dominican Republic,”

BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.

Throughout February, BOTB is offering players the chance to win a whopping £1million in its biggest ever competition giveaway.

Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, it has given away a whopping £64million worth of cars so far.

Christian said:

“It was amazing to be able to video call Alexandru on his birthday and surprise him with the news he had won this fantastic cash prize.

“It obviously means an awful lot to him as he was desperately trying to hold back the tears. I’m sure he will enjoy spending the money once the news has sunk in.”
