A BISHAMPTON student has been awarded a prestigious University of Worcester scholarship in recognition of exceptional achievement during her studies.
Chloe Flint, 20, is in the second year of an Illustration degree and received £1,000 for outstanding achievements in her first year.
“I am very proud that I have accomplished this in the first year of my studies and it has given me the determination to do even better in the second year.”
“I’ll invest the scholarship award in my future studies, it’ll enable me to buy quality art supplies.”
Reflecting on her time at the University of Worcester so far, Chloe said:
“I’ve had a wonderful time and I’ve really developed my confidence.
“The lecturers have been amazing, they’re very supportive and the work is hard, but it has really pushed me to explore my artistic abilities and step out of my comfort zone.”
“I’ve met other artists on my course, and I’m constantly inspired by them.”
A number of prizes and Academic Scholarship Awards are awarded to students at the University of Worcester each year.
University provost, Ann Jordan, said:
“Congratulations to all our students who earned an Academic Scholarship or prize this year.
“These students achieved highly in their studies and it is wonderful to be able to recognise their dedication and commitment during the last academic year.
“Hopefully this award will inspire them to further academic success in future.”
“The scholarships and prizes are supported by generous philanthropists, including the university’s distinguished Honorary Fellows, local employers, and many successful graduates of the university.
“We are very grateful to all our benefactors, whose generosity makes such a difference to our students.”
