DOZENS of local business leaders gathered at The Regal Cinema, Evesham on Friday morning (July 11) for a business breakfast hosted by Nigel Huddleston MP.

The event brought together a wide range of organisations from his Worcestershire constituency, including farmers and major farming groups, manufacturers, tech firms, haulage companies, banks, hospitality businesses, and local charities.

Attendees had the opportunity to raise concerns, share insights, and hear directly from him about the challenges and opportunities facing the region’s economy.

Topics discussed included the impact of employer’s National Insurance increases, concerns around affordable and reliable electricity costs, and wider issues affecting rural businesses and supply chains.

Speaking after the event, Nigel Huddleston MP said: “It was fantastic to see so many local businesses represented at the breakfast. From food producers to tech entrepreneurs, the strength and diversity of our local economy was on full display.

“Businesses are the backbone of our communities and our economy, and it’s vital their voices are heard, particularly at a time when costs and regulatory pressures are rising.

“Events like this are a valuable opportunity to listen, learn, and ensure the concerns of my constituents are fed back to Ministers.”

Mr Huddleston extended his thanks to The Regal owners, Sue and Ian Wiper for hosting the event.
