VIKINGS, knights and assorted outlaws are set to take over Evesham next week with the return of Medieval Market and Living History Camp.
Swords will clash, and history will come to life as the town braces for a record-breaking fifth invasion on May 16 and 17.

What to expect:
A historic invasion: A record number of around 300 Vikings, Norman soldiers, and armoured knights will take over the town centre, joined by Robin Hood, Maid Marion, and the Sherwood Outlaws.
Action and entertainment: Visitors can witness high-energy fight demonstrations, medieval music, and traditional dance throughout the weekend, plus have-a-go archery and soft-play sword-fighting for youngsters.
The Great Market: Over 100 stalls will line the Evesham church grounds and market square, offering everything from mead, cider, and historic themed chocolate to bespoke medieval weaponry and handcrafted clothing.
Organiser Mick Hurst said: “What began in 2021 as a modest fundraiser for the main Battle of Evesham Festival has expanded into one of Evesham’s most looked-forward-to weekends.
“After an estimated 35,000 visitors gave our local shops their best-ever trading weekends last year, we’re bringing twice the number of re-enactors to Abbey Park and surrounds.”
