Evesham locksmith firm expands business after move to new premises

AN EVESHAM locksmith firm has been able to expand their business after moving to larger premises in the town.

Amber Locks opened the doors to its new 43 Bridge Street store last Saturday and the Mayor of Evesham, Coun Richard Jones, was on hand to cut the ribbon at the official opening.

The move to the larger premise has allowed the firm to launch a range of new services, including engraving, giftware and trophies.

Owner Jerry Davis, who founded the business more than 15 years ago, said: “The move of all 10 key and five shoe finishing machines was tricky, but incredibly we were only closed to customers for one day.

“I have been really pleased with the amount of customers who have commented on the size and brightness of the new shop and the wide range of gifts we now stock.

“The new location on the corner of Cowl Street seems to be more convenient for a lot of people and is far more prominent so attracts more passers by.

“I am confident the move will be a success.”

Mayor of Evesham, Coun Richard Jones, said: “It’s great to see a long established Town business expanding.

“It all helps with town centre regeneration which was a key aspect of the Town Plan.

“Along with a new vibrancy around the Market Square and a revamped Charter Market, I hope Amber Locks thrives in its new premises and receives the support it deserves.”

Deborah Rolls, VECTA Chairman, said: “It’s lovely to see the new shop in this great location and well worth a visit with the wide new range of engravable gifts and trophies.”
