Evesham litter picking blitz rids the town's streets of unwanted rubbish

Evesham Editorial 16th Nov, 2017   0

A LITTER picking blitz in Evesham saw volunteers fill 25 bags of rubbish as part of their bid to spruce up the town.

A group of eight volunteers descended on Common Road last month in the latest of their litter picks which are organised by the Evesham Town Plan Anti-Litter Group.

They spent an hour and a half ridding the streets of unwanted litter and rubbish from pavements and from along the river to help clean up the area.

The Anti-Litter Group has now completed nine litter picks across different parts of Evesham. In total 20 picks will be taking place in a bid to improve the cleanliness of the town.

The group will also be revisiting target areas as part of their ongoing process.

Anyone who would like to take part in future litter picks is urged to contact Colin Tether on [email protected] or Gerry O’Donnell on [email protected].
