A NUMBER of homes in Evesham have been hit by power cuts this afternoon.
Western Power Distribution has said 17 homes in the WR11 8 and WR11 5 areas have been affected.
The power went off at about 2.30pm and at one point about 177 homes were left without electricity.
Power was expected to be restored to the remaining homes at 4pm, but Western Power Distribution have said it’s now more likely to be 7pm.
A spokesman for the distribution operator has said the power cut has been caused by an overhead fault which engineers are working to fix.
