This well-known classical music society began providing music in the Vale of Evesham in 1949 when concerts were held in the Princess Hall of the then Prince Henry’s Grammar School.
Over the decades many very talented and professional musicians have played in the town at various venues before going on to become established names in the world of classical music.
These include guitarists Julian Bream and Craig Ogden, clarinettists Emma Johnson and Jack Brymer, pianists Gerald Moore, Paul Lewis, Jayson Gillham and Benjamin Grosvenor, singer Roderick Williams and many more.
Chairman of Evesham and District Music Club, Oliver Lister, said: “We’re very excited to welcome back the European Chamber Ensemble to open our first concert of the 78th season.
“Keeping classical music alive in the vale of Evesham is so important as it not only brings excellent artists to the area but also enables classical music lovers to enjoy great music in Evesham.
“We have a wonderful programme of concerts taking us through to February 2027 so I urge music lovers to join us at those events.”
