CARING organisers of the Evesham Town 10K handed over a cheque to a good cause and revealed the date for this year’s event.
Evesham Vale Running Club and 2016 race sponsors Birdseye Sports / Run Stuff were proud to present a cheque to Evesham Volunteer Centre recently.
The popular venue was the chosen charity to receive the £1,500 raised from last year’s event.
The money donated will go towards helping Evesham Volunteer Centre to continue to provide the direct services to the older, isolated people living across the Vale.
This year’s 10K marks the 10th running of the event and will take place on July 9 from 10am on Crown Meadow.
The well established event in the local race calendar brings more than 600 runners into Evesham to tackle a fast chip timed course which takes in the town and the riverside.
